The Foundation of Our Love for Dogs
Felicia’s connection to dogs spans her entire life. As a toddler, she was practically raised alongside her sisters by a loyal German Shepherd who acted as a guardian and gentle companion. This early bond left an indelible mark. Later, as a teenager, Felicia poured hours into researching the "perfect" dog and brought home a Golden Retriever. Sadly, that beloved pet suffered from severe skin conditions and ultimately succumbed to cancer—a heartbreaking experience that deeply instilled in Felicia the vital importance of responsible breeding and rigorous health standards. Alex’s passion for the German Shepherd breed ignited while living with his sister, who was working at a prominent German Shepherd kennel and training facility in Wonder Lake, Illinois. Spending hours visiting the kennel and helping his sister, Alex was awestruck by the sheer beauty, power, loyalty, and profound affection these dogs exuded.
A Shared Vision and a Gift that Changed Everything
Alex and Felicia met in their early twenties while living in the same neighborhood. It didn't take long for them to realize they shared a similar devotion to dogs—especially the German Shepherd. When Alex proposed, his father knew how much German Shepherds meant to the couple, and as a wedding present, he gifted them Rambo. Rambo quickly became the center of their world. With his calm, loving temperament, striking physical traits, and flawless genetic health, he surpassed every expectation. He was everything a German Shepherd should be, and he naturally became the foundational Sire for the Pauley's breeding program.
Driven by their experience with Rambo and a desire to share this incredible breed with others, Alex and Felicia sought out the perfect match. They welcomed Roxy, their foundational Dam, chosen with the utmost care to complement Rambo’s exceptional qualities.
